1. Background of the activity

Xi ‘an is a significant birthplace of Chinese civilization and the Chinese nation. Known as Qinzhong since ancient times, it was the capital of 13 dynasties, making it
the ancient capital with the longest history of being a capital in China. Walking into Chang’ an City, one can trace through the dynastic timeline from the Zhou to the Tang, gaining a profound understanding of China’s five-thousand-year culture and history. The Terracotta Army of Qin is hailed as the eighth wonder of the world, being the largest underground military formation in the world. The six-hundred-year-old Ming City Wall and the towering Big and Small Wild Goose Pagodas from over 1,300 years ago add layers of history and stories to this city. Every tile and eave in Xi’ an bears an unimaginable weight of history. Understanding this history can enhance students’ pride in their country and their sense of responsibility towards their ethnicity and nation. A deep understanding of history helps to stimulate intelligence and wisdom, teaching the principles and methods of interpersonal conduct. This course, by tracing the unification of multiple major dynasties in Chinese history, aims to help students understand the process of national growth and development, sparking their interest in learning and seeking valuable insights from the wisdom of our predecessors

The core literacy of students' development focuses on cultivating "a well-rounded person", which is divided into three aspects: cultural foundation, independent development and social participation. It is comprehensively manifested in six major literacy: humanistic heritage, scientific spirit, learning to learn, healthy life, responsibility and practice innovation. The core literacy goal of this course is

1. Cultural Heritage. By tracing the dynastic lineage and conducting field
investigations, students will understand the historical development sequence of the
thirteen dynasties that established their capitals in Shaanxi, enhancing their
cultural and historical foundation; they will summarize the political, economic,
and military aspects of different dynasties, exploring the impact of unified empires
on the world, fostering a sense of humanistic sentiment; they will appreciate the
exquisite artifacts from various dynasties, promoting traditional Chinese aesthetics
and elevating their aesthetic appreciation.

2. Scientific spirit. Actively participate in various activities in the study practice,
and through PBL teaching method, be able to put forward problems, find
problems, and finally find solutions to problems

Scene Overview: The Terracotta Warrior pits are located on the east side of the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, serving as large burial pits for the tomb. They were discovered in 1974. To date, four pits have been excavated, covering a total area of over 25,000 square meters. Inside these pits, a vast number of terracotta warriors and horses, each life-sized, along with various weapons used in actual combat, have been unearthed, totaling tens of thousands of artifacts. Scene Overview: The Great Ci ‘en Temple is located in Jinchang Fang of Tang Chang’ an City. It is the ancestral temple of the “Vijnan School” (also known as the Dharmalaksana School, Abhidharma School, and Ci ‘en School), one of

The Great Wild Goose Pagoda, where the Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang translated the scriptures, is a perfect blend of ancient Tang Dynasty charm and modern technology.

Scene Overview: Tang Dynasty Nocturnal City is located at the foot of the Great Wild Goose Pagoda in Yanta District, Xi ‘an City, Shaanxi Province. It stretches from the South Square of the Great Wild Goose Pagoda to the Tang City Wall Ruins to the south, from Cien East Road to Cien West Road to the east, with a north-south length of 2,100 meters and an east-west width of 500 meters, covering a total construction area of 6.5 million square meters. 5. Safety plan

In order to strengthen the safety management of this study tour, ensure the safety of teachers and students, and ensure the safe and orderly development of the activity, the safety emergency plan is specially formulated; Safety personnel of the study group should be properly equipped to ensure that one person is in charge of one group and one class is in charge of one group. 3.Write a written report. The counselor should write a detailed and accurate written report, in addition to the content of the case report, should also write the nature of the case, emergency measures taken, the investigation situation, the emotions and reactions of the victims and other members, and requirements.

Prevent getting lost

The counselor should emphasize the itinerary, matters needing attention, assembly time and place when setting out, and inform the students of their mobile phone number. Count the number of students when boarding each time. If they get lost, they should deal with it in time.
